Fake Account … Fake Account … Fake Account … Fake Account …
Within a day or two I receive such mails from SiliconIndia.

This is the snapshot of mail I receive every now and then. Every time there is a different “girl” who is sending invitation. And every time I don’t know her. Its definitely coming from some fake account.
I don’t know whether such mails add any traffic to siliconindia.com, but I am pretty sure that such mails annoy user. Such mails forces me not to join such network.
you’ve got spam
Seriously, silicon india is pushing too hard to get users signed up by sending invitations from the fake accounts. Like you said, every time it’s a different profile and always of the opposite sex.
@tasser
I Just wonder whether such mail add to any traffic at all?
“Hi ,
I would like to invite you to my professional network on SiliconIndia. It allows us to invite trusted contacts and stay connected with ease.
Thanks,
Priya”
I did a Google search to see If other people are also getting same kind of invitations from pretty looking girls asking to join their network at Silicon India and came across this discussion.
It’s lame step by silicon India
seriously silicon india is the biggest spammer ……
yes i received these spam from siliconindia too. I never click. but i hate this shit. they use gmail and other good free email services to do their dirty work. Now google email ips are entering the ban list wtf. no thanks to morons like these.
I know there is someone out there just as cheesed off and are planning a cordinated hacking surprise or ddos attack for them. Down with siliconindia spamming FTW
I have assigned any mail containing the text “siliconindia” to be delivered directly to spam.
Sadly some good mails may be lost.. but I’ve had it with siliconindia.
I used to work for SiliconIndia until recently. About two years ago, they started harvesting email ids and sent out bulk mailers with fake female names. The female pictured in the above mail is one of our employee. They use our pictures to send this email.
A while back, the entire email database was stolen by another employee, and he went on to start his own spammy venture by the name of digital mailers. All these harvest email addresses are now available to whoever is will to invest some money to get it. And trust me, it doesn’t cost a lot!
